Malaysia athlete‘s outstanding performance in Olympic


Malaysia pocket rocket Azizulhasni Awang made the country pleased by winning a bronze award in an emotional men's keirin final at the Olympic Games in Rio last night, 28-year-old Azizul is making his third Olympic appearance and looking for a podium and this is certainly a wonderful experiences for Azizul, as his performance improved from last Olympics in London where he finished sixth in the final.

He managed to be in third in the first heats of the second round behind Jason Kenny from England and Matthijs Buchli from Netherlands. Three others, who came through the second heats are Joachim Eilers of Germany, Damian Zielinski of Poland and Colombian Fabian Hernando Puerta Zapata. All the winners from first heat of the second round became the winners for final where gold for Great Britain, silver for Netherlands and bronze for Malaysia.

Meanwhile, in badminton men’s doubles, Malaysia Duo wins China’s Chan Biao and Hong Wei 21-18,12-21,21-17 in 68 minutes and march to gold medal match meeting China’s  Fu Haifeng and Zhang Nan this Friday  11.30 pm Malaysian time.

Today, Malaysia badminton mixed doubles duo play gold medal match against Indonesian Ahmad Tontowi and Natsir Liliyana tonight 11.30pm and Malaysia badminton men’s single shutter Dato Lee Chong Wei will play against Chou Tien Chen from Taipei 7.30 pm Malaysian time for Men’s Single Quarterfinals placing. If he wins, he will play against Lin Dan from China or Kidambi Srikanth from India in Semifinals.

Tomorrow, Malaysia’s Sabri Nur Dhabitah and Pamg Pandelela Rinong will compete in Women’s 10 m Platform Preliminary Round at 2.00am.
