JDT have appointed a new club president

Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) football club will be hosting the introduction of its new president, Tunku Tun Aminah Binti Sultan Ibrahim. As per status updates in Johor Southern Tiger Facebook page, the ceremony will be held on Thursday at 2.00 pm at the Stadium Tan Sri Haji Hassan Yunus, Larkin.

She was born on April 8, 1986, and is the only daughter of Sultan Ibrahim Ismail. She went to school at Sri Utama School before pursuing her A-Levels at La Salle College in Singapore. Tunku Aminah is the second child in the royal family of Johor, and the only daughter of the Johor Sultan; Sultan Ibrahim Ismail Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj. Currently, Tunku Ismail is the owner of JDT Club and Royal Patron of JFA.

With the 30-year old princess' appointment, the 2015 AFC Cup champions are currently the other Malaysian club to have a female president or chairperson. The other female club president in Malaysia at the moment is Siti Zubaidah Abdul Jabar, the chairperson of Premier League's PKNS FC.
